Avon Fashion Holiday 2011

There is that scene from Serendipity with Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack that I simply love. It’s the very last one, when he’s lying in the middle of the empty rink and sees that missing glove tossed into the snow-filled air. There’s something so pure, beautiful and simple about that scene that it makes me crave for the comforting simple fashions each winter.
Avon’s Holiday 2009 brings back that magic, I believe. And the prices are pretty magical too — they’re so affordable that pretty much every one can have a good holiday. Here are some of my favorite pieces:
Avon Holiday 2009
Loving the sparkle drop linear earrings (D) here that are perfect to pair with your LBD ($14.99)
I adore this Floral Bloom Pearlesque Collection (Bracelet $19.99; Necklace $19.99; Earrings $9.99) that brings out the Audrey Hepburn in you.
Who wouldn’t want a sparkling stunner necklace like this as a gift? ($29.99 including set with earrings)
Kate Moss fans can squeal in delight at this Ruffle Hobo (must have) that comes at a bargain price of $34.99.
Comfy and cozy are we…. ($19.99)
Top off every evening attired with this glam Kiss Lock Essential Clutch for only $12.99. I’m still gagging at the price!
These lovely goodies will debut online during the holiday season. I completely and utterly expect them to be sold out (heck I will buy these in bulk). Shop Serendipitously.

AVON Vintage Jewelry is now in demand

Looking for jewelry from the 1980s?
I recently came across an estate of a woman who worked as an Avon Lady in the 1980's. She left behind many many boxes filled with an assortment of AVON items. Inside were vintage jewelry - necklaces, pendants, bracelets, rings, pins, earrings. There are also gift items as well as body lotion, shampoo, perfume, etc. Plus many old catalogs!

Over the next few weeks, I will be listing assorted items in my eBay store, which is calledBienleinDesign. Be sure to bookmark it!

You will find Vintage Jewelry Lots with necklaces and bracelets.

If you are looking for earrings, check out this lot

Here are a few individual pieces:

Paisley Earrings and Pin

Gold Mesh and Beads Necklace

Head over to my store to see all my AVON items currently listed.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be listing more items in the next few weeks!

AVON Fashion Jewelry

There are probably very few people in the world who have not heard of the company called AVON. Did you know AVON has been around since 1886?

The word jewelry is derived from the Latin word 'jocale' meaning plaything. Avon fashion jewelry is inexpensive to moderately priced jewelry such as a necklace, ring or bracelet, made up of semi-precious or simulated stones, metals and other materials like crystals, glass, brass, wood, leather, silver and more, designed to wear with current fashions.

Fashion jewelry from Avon is made in all sorts of styles from contemporary mod inspired filigree earrings to mixed metals necklaces hanging at various lengths.

Avon Fashion jewelry is very much in demand because it is stylish and trendy and is available at affordable prices.

Affordable Bling and Fashion Wear: Cashtastic Avon.com

Recently, I received some samples from Avon. And honestly, it was a pleasant surprise. I've been so busy with work and writing, I hadn't checked in on Avon lately to see what was new. The last time I checked it out was because they were selling a low-priced,irresistible Marimekko handbag. So let me give you the low-down. The Avon collection has expanded way beyond make-up and perfume. Their website and catalogue now feature fashion accessories, well priced "bling" (costume jewelry) and handbags. The nice thing about getting samples is exploring some things that fall outside of your own personal taste. For example the above stretch watch is not something I would've picked for myself. However, I have worn it several times now and received numerous compliments on it! I wore it on a recent trip to LasVegas and it was the perfect getaway fashion accessory. With the holidays coming up, this is a good option for those looking for a cheap and chic time piece for parties. The watch has just been reduced from $34.99 to $24.99, so the price is right. There are more conservative pieces in the Avon collection too, like this Fashion Chain link watch for only $12.99. I haven't received a sample for this piece, or seen anything beyond the pictures, but I love the look of it and the price.

The Avon collection also features cute handbags and warm scarves in Avon's new "cashtastic" material. "Cashtastic" is acrylic with more than a passing resemblance to cashmere. Check out the ruffle scarf for $14.99.

And last but not least, take a look at this winter tote bag. Avon calls it the "Wool Tote of the Town." It's roomy enough to carry your essentials: lipstick, blush compact, brush, wallet and even a small laptop (mine is now almost surgically attached.)

Although Avon sent me some free samples, I am not writing this post because of that. In the current economy, its good to know where there is fashion value for a good price. This week as theMadoff family's luxury goods are about to hit the auction block, it seems particularly fitting to talk about what is available at prices you don't have to beg, borrow or steal for. Think about it, does anyone need a $20,000 handbag with a price tag that includes a prison term? If you're looking for luxury goods for less, but still in the thousands, then check out the US Marshall's auction. For the rest of us trying to live within our means, Avon provides some good options.
