The 82nd Annual Academy Awards rolled out in all their glory, and a slew of Bomb actors came out to show off their best gowns and glittering jewels. Sure, the show itself was amazing, but let’s take a look at the fashion, shall we?Zoe Saldana looked lovely in a lavendar Givenchy Couture gown, which boasted a jeweled bodice and an ombre ruffled hem. Such a dramatic hem could either have looked a little “Big Bird” esque or fabulous. Zoe shut it down. Fabulous.Mo’Nique looked radiant in an electric blue Tadashi Shoji gown with her hubby in tow. I love the ruching across the bodice, though I must admit I’m not a fan of the flower in her hair. Hair accessory aside, she looks like she knew she’d win that Oscar. Congrats Mo’Nique!Gabourey Sidibe glowed in a floor length blue Marchesa gown with diamond details and draped cap sleeves. Apparently, about the gown, she said, “If fashion were porn this dress would be the money shot.” Okayyy, Gabby!! This dress definitely works for her, and the Lorraine Schwartz jewels only add to her shine. Hot!The blue theme kept going amongst the Precious girls, with Mariah Carey in a blue slit front dress with peep toe nude heels. As Danielle said, her makeup is fire, and I’m not mad at her choice. From the revealing bust to the high slit, the dress boasts the typical Mariah sex appeal, and the flowing jersey and fit make it very red carpet worthy. Hot!Paula Patton sizzled in a deep orange gown with a ruffled neckline and moderate train. She kept it simple while showing off her baby bump and her boo. Hot!Nicole Richie set off her dark makeup with a sequined Reem Acra gown with a revealing low back. Everything about this look seems to wash her out. Hmm, perhaps some bright colors or a more interesting silhouette would have brought it home for me.Queen Latifah looked pretty in a metallic lilac floor length creation with a one shoulder jeweled strap and matching accessories. I’m always a stickler for details, so am hmm’ing on the rumpled skirt…but over all the color is endlessly flattering and the silhouette is hot!Pageant hair aside, Anika Noni Rose brought a bit of old Hollywood Glamour to the carpet in a champagne gown with a bodice covered in light reflecting shards. A gathered hem skewed a bit “Belle of the Ball,” but hey, she is the new Disney princess isn’t she?Lastly, Jennifer Lopez looked like a fluffy confection in an Armani Privé ice pink gown with a dramatic side gathered train. This straight from the runway look fits the occasion, and I don’t mind the subtle diamond jewels.
